With a new Dota 2 coach and the Wild Rift team, Blacklist strengthens

Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr. will soon join Blacklist International's Dota 2 team as its coach as sources told Rappler.

American-Filipino Ninjaboogie is best known for his ten-year esports pro career, which was distinguished by several appearances in The International and the Dota 2 Asia Championship victory in 2018.

The well-placed source claims that his addition to the team is part of management's commitment to making the most of its roster during the most prestigious sporting event.

Recently placing fourth in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023, the team now has a win-loss record total of 7 wins and 8 losses, or a 47% win rate.

“G2 Esports is one of the top five esports teams in the world in terms of valuation of ranking, among other things, and I feel like if you’re on that level, to be able to trust your brand to someone in Asia, where you don’t have an idea is not an easy thing to do, right?” said Gutierrez.
