GOT7 Blasts Back with New Mini-Album "Winter Heptagon

The stars have truly aligned for GOT7, as the globally acclaimed South Korean supergroup makes a dazzling comeback with their newest mini-album, Winter Heptagon, released on Monday, Jan. 20.

This nine-track mini-album marks a significant moment for the septet, reuniting as a full group for the first time since their self-titled EP in 2022. Leading the charge is the captivating music video for “Python,” the album’s title track, which dropped simultaneously with the album’s release.

Winter Heptagon draws inspiration from the Winter Hexagon, a prominent celestial formation of six bright stars—Sirius, Procyon, Pollux, Castor, Capella, and Aldebaran—with a nod to the red supergiant Betelgeuse. The heptagon concept pays homage to GOT7’s seven-member lineup, symbolizing their unity and brilliance.

Hints of their return started circulating as early as December 2024 when leader JAY B confirmed the group’s plans during his solo concert in Seoul. Subtle teases from members, including Jinyoung after his military discharge, further fueled anticipation, while GOT7’s regained control of their official social media accounts signaled the long-awaited comeback.

Produced in collaboration with Kakao Entertainment, Winter Heptagon celebrates GOT7’s 11th year in the industry. It also serves as their second project as an independent group since leaving JYP Entertainment in 2021.

GOT7’s lineup—JAY B, Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom—is set to bring their electrifying energy to fans with a two-day concert, NESTFEST, scheduled for Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.

With Winter Heptagon, GOT7 cements their place as a global powerhouse, proving once again that their artistry and connection with fans are timeless.
