Chloe San Jose Fires Back at Ai-Ai delas Alas Amid Marital and Family Drama
"What you do to others will come right back at you 10x," Chloe San Jose said in reference to Ai-Ai delas Alas, who was divorcing her spouse.
It is worth noting that in September, Delas Alas commented on the public dispute between San Jose and her boyfriend, Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, and his mother, Angelica Yulo.
"Kung wala 'yung nanay niya, wala kang darling ngayon," Delas Alas told San Jose, expressing her support for Angelica at the time. Huwag mo siyang aawayin, kaya girl. Girl, at tsaka hindi ka pa asawa. I have a girlfriend.
(You wouldn't have a sweetheart today if it weren't for his mother. Therefore, girl, don't argue with her. You're still his girlfriend, not his wife.)
Following Delas Alas's announcement of her divorce from Gerald Sibayan in November, San Jose posted a social media card on Facebook detailing the legendary comedian's advise to her.
“Back to you, mamang,” San Jose said in the caption. “Not to make fun of your situation but what you do to others will come right back at you 10x. It’s just the universe’s law.”
San Jose's Facebook page does not currently display the post, but screenshots of it have already been reposted on social media.
Then, San Jose acknowledged that she did post, but she made it clear that it was only shared in private. In reaction to numerous internet users deluging her comments section, she released the confirmation.
“Why didn’t I make the post public? Because I do not involve myself in other people’s private lives publicly (especially without understanding and knowing the full story) and contribute to you all’s clown and fake entertainment,” she said.
“It’s beyond my control that someone took a screenshot of what was intended as a ‘private’ post,” she continued. “Now, let’s consider if I had posted it publicly. My caption was neither derogatory nor offensive in any way. So, why the outrage?”
The social media star went on to say that discussing other people in public without speaking to them directly in private is "more cowardly."
“The true courage, ‘matapang’ and meaningful discussions take place offline, not on the internet,” she added.
In the meantime, a private Facebook account belonging to Sophia, Delas Alas' daughter, commented on San Jose's most recent Facebook post.
"Matapang ka? Sophia remarked, "Public mo naman post mo regarding my mom." "Are you in Manila? "Matapang ka eh."
(Are you brave enough to make your post about my mom public? If so, let's meet in Manila.)
In response, San Jose added a smiling face with hearts emoji and wrote, "Messaged you, love."
