Vice Ganda claims that the rape joke on Jessica Soho is still haunting him.

Jokes should always be mindful of their impact. Humor is subjective, but it's essential to remember that certain topics, like rape or personal attacks, should never be the subject of jokes. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected, and humor should never come at the expense of someone else's well-being or dignity.

Vice Ganda claimed that his detractors continue to use his 2013 rape joke on GMA news anchor and multiple award-winning broadcast journalist Jessica Soho as a means of "definition."

Vice Ganda, the actor-comedian, talked with his ward Awra Briguela in a vlog that was posted on his YouTube account on May 6. They were talking about how people would always use "one definition" when criticizing someone.

Speaking to Briguela, who pronounces things she/her, Vice Ganda complained that his 2013 show, "I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta," featured a rape joke that his detractors were still using to discredit him. But he asserted that he has moved on from it, despite the fact that his detractors have not, and they will continue to use it as a pretext for "justifying their dislike" of him.

“Paulit-ulit ang definition ng mga taong ayaw sa akin which is enough for them to not like me. Isa lang ang definition ko [for them]: I made a rape joke about Jessica Soho,” he said. “‘Yun lang ang depinisyon ko sa mga taong ayaw sa akin, at habang buhay na nilang bibitbitin iyon para maging rason para magalit sila sa akin habambuhay.”

Ten years later, the "Praybeyt Benjamin" star claimed that his critics would still bring up the matter in spite of all the positive things he had done to make up for his comments. Apart from that, they are not very close to each other. It is not able to capture that which is too small.
