Taylor Swift releases the first song off her new album, "Fortnight." ft. Post Malone
After much anticipation for her "Reputation" album, Taylor Swift's eleventh studio album, "The Tortured Poets Department," was revealed at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The singer announced on social media that the first song from "The Tortured Poets Department" would be "Fortnight," a joint effort with rapper Post Malone.
“I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight.,” she shared on X.

With respect to the title's meaning, "fortnight" designates a period of time equal to either fourteen days or two weeks. It's interesting to note that both Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, who many consider to be the album's muses, are English. The name comes from the Old English term "fēowertīene niht," which means "fourteen nights." Here are the lyrics in their entirety:
