After reportedly blowing a stop sign, Justin Timberlake was taken into custody on Long Island for driving while intoxicated. Surveillance footage of his stop at 12:37 a.m. showed him passing through Sag Harbor just before he was stopped.

The police officer stated that he was "in an intoxicated condition" as well as that "his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath," and the man "performed poorly on all standard field sobriety tests."

Timberlake is reported to have told the police, "I followed my friends home and had one martini."

It was at 9:30 a.m. when he was charged. Tuesday in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court, and he was allowed to leave on his own volition. Court officials have stated that on July 26, he will make a virtual appearance.

"I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations. I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney's office," Edward Burke, Jr., Timberlake's attorney, stated.
