BTS’ Jin to Drop First Solo Album ‘Happy’ on Nov. 15: Six Tracks with Unique Vibes
According to a late Monday announcement from his management, Jin, a member of the K-pop sensation BTS, will release his debut solo album in November.
The album "Happy," according to a notice posted by BigHit Music on the fan community app Weverse, will be available on November 15.
Six tracks make up the album, "each with its own unique vibe [and] all grounded in a band sound," according to BigHit.
The album was characterized by the label as "Jin's heartfelt invitation for fans to join him on his journey to discover happiness."
"With his sincere emotions and warm messages to his fans woven throughout 'Happy,' we hope the album brings joy to all of you," BigHit told his audience.
The singer, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, is 31 years old, and although "Happy" will be her debut solo album, she has previously released solo songs like "Super Tuna" and "The Astronaut."
Since South Korea is still nominally at war with the nuclear-armed North, Jin became the first of BTS's seven members to finish his military service in June. This is a necessity for the majority of physically fit South Korean men under 30.
