Edgar Allan Guzman and Shaira Diaz discuss becoming celibate before marriage.
Edgar Allan Guzman acknowledged that he and his fiancé Shaira Diaz had difficulties during the first two years of their celibacy, but since 2013, they have made a commitment to accumulating money for their union.
The actor and host Edgar Allan Guzman admitted to his fiancé Shaira Diaz that he found it challenging to maintain celibacy for the first two years. They have been saving themselves for marriage since 2013, despite the difficulties.
Guzman subsequently said that he wasn't sure if he could maintain celibacy, but he remembered sobbing over the choice to practice it. He pleaded with Diaz to give him another chance, but he insisted on being chaste. In addition, Guzman stated that he respected his partner greatly and that he would wait for them for as long as necessary when they announced their engagement.
In order to honor her pledge to her parents, Diaz stated that she and Guzman made a conscious effort to avoid having intercourse.
“Ino-honor ko po ‘yung family ko, especially my mom and dad. Iyan po ang promise ko sa kanila talaga na kahit iwan mo ako kahit saan, buong-buo pa rin ako,” she said. “Sabi nila, ‘yun ang best gift na mabibigay mo sa asawa mo.”
