PH Cinema Dates for the Mean Girls Musical Finally Announced

Ladies and gentlemen, bring out your pink outfit because February 7 is the day we wore pink.  The Mean Girls musical will be showing this February.

Reneé Rapp as Regina George, Bebe Wood as Gretchen, Avantika as Karen, and Angourie Rice as Cady Heron are the stars of the Mean Girls musical. With a screenplay written by the original 2004 Mean Girls writer and star Tina Fey, who also plays the same character as in the original movie, it is directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez in their feature film directing debut.

There is no need to introduce Mean Girls. Thanks to its numerous zingers and ridiculous one-liners, the 2004 comedy picture starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried has become a mainstay in pop culture and is undoubtedly one of the most referenced movies ever.

The movie was so successful that Fey revived it in 2018 and had it performed on Broadway with new music by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin and an updated screenplay. Since then, this Broadway production has been nominated for twelve Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
