The web book adaption “Omniscient Reader's Perspective” has a star-studded ensemble led by Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Jisoo.

The distributor Lotte Entertainment announced on Wednesday that a movie adaptation of the webnovel "Omniscient Reader" is in the works. Ahn Hyo-seop, Jisoo of Blackpink, and Lee Min-ho will be in the cast.

The distributor of the fantasy film "Omniscient Reader," which is based on the webnovel by singNsong, stated that filming commenced following a cast reading session in December.

Kim Byung-woo, the director of "The Terror Live" (2013) and "Take Point" (2018), helming movies with Lee, Ahn, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Park Ho-san, Nana from Afterschool, and Jisoo from Blackpink, will helm this one as well.

Kim Dok-ja, an office worker, is the main character of the movie. His life unexpectedly resembles a story he recently read. As the only person who knows how the world will end, Dok-ja sets out on a mission to alter the plot of the book and rescue the planet.

Originally released in 2018 on the Munpia platform, the webnovel "Omniscient Reader" was later turned into a Naver webtoon. The piece achieved significant recognition, achieving 200 million views on the Naver Series platform and receiving an average rating of 9.9.
