Sidekick no more! The next horror film from Columbia Pictures, "Tarot," stars the Filipino-American star of Marvel's "Spider-Man" trilogy, Jacob Batalon.

A chorus of uncanny voices chants the reading process as a group of pals spread out a deck of tarot cards in the movie teaser.

When a character is questioned where she obtained the cards, she replies that it's a secret that you should never use someone else's tarot cards. The group disregards this right away.

Each character's destiny is gradually revealed, and later in the teaser, it is apparent that the High Priestess, the Hermit, the Magician, and the Hanged Man—among the cards they were dealt—are pursuing them.

Starring in "Tarot" are Larsen Thompson, Alana Boden, Humberly González, Adain Bradley, Avantika, Humbert Slater, and Wolfgang Novogratz. It is helmed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg and is based on the 1992 novel by Nicholas Adams. In the Philippines, the release date is unclear.
