EXO Chanyeol's first foreign country visit was to the Philippines

Park Chanyeol, an EXO member, was overcome with emotion near the end of his solo fan meetup in the Philippines. Chanyeol informed his Filipino followers that he wants to live a better life after watching a video made by his fans at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay.

"I have so many things that I want to say. I have mixed emotions right now, very many emotions, but the biggest feeling that I have right now is that I want to live a better life from now (on). I am just an ordinary person like you, or am I not?" Chanyeol told his fans last Sunday, October 1.

"But while watching this video, you made me realize that my existence itself already gives you a lot of strength. So I have this determination that I cannot live without trying my best or trying harder," he added. During a fan meeting, Chanyeol expressed his appreciation to EXO-L supporters in the Philippines for their support and encouragement.

He declared his goal to be a great musician and bring joy and satisfaction to his admirers all around the world. Chanyeol also stated that the Philippines was his first foreign nation, having visited for a short-term English study program in middle school.
