Pia Wurtzbach defends the rights of women who don't wish to have children.

Pia Wurtzbach, the 2015 Miss Universe, defended women who don't want children, saying that a woman's value shouldn't be determined by her capacity to procreate. Wurtzbach acknowledged that at this point in her career, she despises being questioned about having kids.

Even though she would like to have children in the future, she added that people should stop asking women when they plan to have children.

Former beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach admits that she would like to have kids in the future but not right now. That is OK to her and her husband, Jeremy. She also emphasizes the possibility that some women may have other obligations and responsibilities.

“As an empowered woman, I think your worth as a woman is not measured by you being able to bear a child. There [are] really so many more things to a woman that just bearing children,” she said.

In an interview with with Arab entrepreneur Anas Bukhash, which was uploaded on his YouTube channel last Wednesday, Aug. 2, Wurtzbach admitted that she hated being asked about having children at this point in her career


Some women choose not to have kids due to various reasons, such as career goals, family obligations, or personal plans.

“Some women do not want to have kids. Some women want to be amazing in their careers, they want to put all their effort [into] that. Maybe they want to take care of their parents all their life. Maybe they want to commit their life to social work. Maybe they just have different plans. That doesn’t mean that a woman is less valuable or less capable or less able,” she continued.

Pia has an amazing husband and She believes Jauncey fills the gaps in her heart, as he is a combination of various roles molded into one person.

“He has so many roles in my life, not just my husband. Like he knows about the struggles I went through. Fortunately, for him, he didn’t go through that. He had an amazing childhood, the best kind of relationship with his parents and siblings,” she said. “I was given somebody strong enough to help me and be strong for me. It works. I’m a handful but it works.”

Wurtzbach is blessed and grateful that her husband has an amazing childhood, which has allowed him to handle someone who is a "handful" like her. They communicate openly and are transparent about their finances and gender-based expectations. Wurtzbach has previously discussed her personal feelings about whether she wants to have kids and dismissed pregnancy speculations. She tied the knot with Jauncey in Seychelles in March, but confirmed their union only two months later.
