Postage stamps commemorating BTS's 10th anniversary are available.
BTS supporters gathered in the center of Seoul, the capital of South Korea, to commemorate the boy band's debut ten years earlier.
Numerous members of the group's devoted global fans, known as ARMY, gathered in Seoul this week despite the fact that they are on break and that two of the members are presently doing their required military duty. After paving the way for K-pop's global success, particularly in the US music charts and industry accolades, the seven-member group has amassed a sizable international fan base.
A large number of BTS fans from France, Mexico, and other countries came to see the sights as iconic buildings including Seoul City Hall and Namsan Tower were illuminated in the group's characteristic purple hue.
Businesses and organizations are also participating in the event, and the city of Seoul is collaborating with BTS' management company HYBE to provide a tour of BTS-related locations.
The postal office of South Korea issued unique commemorative stamps in honor of BTS' debut anniversary. Businesses including Hyundai Department Store, Lotte Shopping, Lotte Cinema, and S-Oil have started promoting special deals or occasions.
“Thank you for teaching us a little, or maybe even too much, about happiness and love,” member JungKook told fans in a Twitter message on Sunday, June 11. “I want to keep walking with you all for the next 10 years as well”.
