Over 1,000 speed dates set a new record on Valentine's day

The bigger the sea, the better the chances of catching something, according to the 1,363 speed daters who gathered in Brussels on Tuesday.

There are still a lot of single men and women and you can still find it and if you are lucky enough you can go and do speed dating. You might find it there and  Yes it is still a thing in Brussel.

The Valentine's Day speed dating event, according to its organizer Dare to Date, broke the previous record of 964 participants set in Dublin, Ireland, in 2019.

Participants circulated every four minutes, meeting 16 people on average throughout the evening in a vast repurposed warehouse with rows of tables and disco music.

Dare to Date, which specializes in speed dating, divided participants into groups according to their sexual orientation and age, but aside from that, there was no screening, which many participants said made it superior to online dating.

"I think it's much more natural than Tinder," Tiffany Guerenne, 29, said. "Speed dating is really cool because there are so many different people and they're maybe people we wouldn't have said 'yes' to on Tinder."
