Officially, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are now divorced
The 30-year-old pop diva filed for divorce from the 28-year-old real estate broker six months ago, and on Tuesday, March 19, a Los Angeles Superior Court verdict officially ended their nearly three-year marriage.
According to court documents, the two got divorced more than a year ago. Because they had a prenuptial agreement, were childless, and had no major legal issues during the divorce, the court process went smoothly and swiftly.
After reaching a settlement agreement in October, all they needed to do was wait the requisite six months for the judge's order to become operative.
In accordance with the terms of the deal, Grande will give Gomez a lump sum payment of $1,250,000 with no further alimony, half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles house, and up to $25,000 for legal expenses.
2020 saw Grande and Gomez start dating, and in December of that year, they were engaged. In a private ceremony, they tied the knot in Montecito, California. In addition to releasing her seventh studio album, Gomez will play the lead in the "Wicked" movie.
