Kathryn Bernardo, reveals her upcoming film projects with Dolly de Leon and Olivia Lamasan
Kathryn Bernardo is back to make new films but it is not just like her old ones it is more mature than usual.
With three films in development, including a reunion project with her boyfriend, the singer-actor Daniel Padilla, and Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon, Kathryn Bernardo is about to make her big-screen comeback.
The day after Bernardo turned 27 years old, on Monday, March 27, the "New Movie Alert" virtual media conference revealed her upcoming film projects.
The actress confirmed that she will collaborate with de Leon on the Petersen V. Petersen-directed dark comedy "A Very Good Girl."
“It’s such an honor because I would be working with — and she agreed to work with me — with the one and only Ms. Dolly de Leon, ohmigod,” a visibly elated Bernardo began. “For sure, I would learn a lot from her, and I can’t wait to meet her again. So it was such an honor that she found time (to make this movie).”
Marionne Dominique Mancol, Carmi Raymundo, and Daniel Saniana are all involved in the production of "A Very Good Girl," a dark comedy genre with an "eat the rich" concept. Raymundo revealed that she and Bernardo worked together when the latter was still young, which was shared during a pitch meeting. The film will kick off filming soon and is slated for a 2023 release.
Bernardo is reuniting with Olivia Lamasan in the upcoming Black Sheep Productions film "Elena 1944," which tells the story of comfort women during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines. Additional details about the production timeline, premiere date, and castmates have not been revealed.
