Jackie Chan Faints During Stunt Filming for "Panda Plan"
During a battle sequence for his next movie, "Panda Plan," Jackie Chan passed out, alarming his fans.
As soon as the crew ran over to help the 70-year-old actor get back up, Chan's scene mate dropped his hold. Chan had no expression and didn't seem to be aware of what had transpired as the personnel cared for him.
The legendary fighter of martial arts questioned one of the crew members, "What are we doing?”
In complete shock, Chan claimed that his temporary unconsciousness was most likely caused by him holding his breath throughout the trick.
After a brief respite, the "Karate Kid" actor reassured everyone that everything was alright and reshot the sequence.
In a post-event interview, Chan emphasized that he needed to reassure the production team that everything was fine so they wouldn't need a stunt double.
"Not much of an issue. Otherwise, they would want me to use a stunt double, so I need to reassure everyone else that I'm okay. I would feel terrible if I did nothing but sit there while they used a stunt double and then just filmed my close-ups after he was finished. It's explained," he said.
Concerned fans said that Chan should definitely cease performing his own stunts because it's probably the "right time."
"He should let those younger stuntmen handle the work and stop doing any more risky stunts at the age of seventy-one." We know he wanted to do his best to produce a fantastic movie by executing the stunt by himself as what he had done during his younger days, but when age catch up with him, he must learn to let go and let others do it,” said one netizen.
