It's Showtime will show on GMA's GTV

GTV announced on its official Twitter account that the noontime variety show It's Showtime from ABS-CBN will start airing on GMA's free television channel starting July 1.

On June 30, ABS-CBN's blocktime contract with TV5 on It's Showtime expires, which would interfere with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other Dabarkads' return to the Kapatid network.

It's Showtime will no longer air on TV5 as of July 1, according to a statement from ABS-CBN. The 4:30 pm time slot for It's Showtime on a delayed telecast had been given by TV5 to ABS-CBN, but they turned it down, it was discovered.

“For 14 years, It’s Showtime has brought joy and entertainment to our Madlang People here and abroad. We value the meaningful relationship we have built and nurtured with our audience in the noontime slot. It is for this reason that we have respectfully declined the 4:30 pm timeslot offered by TV5 for the show,” ABS-CBN said.

From Monday through Saturday at 12:00, It's Showtime may be seen on a number of stations, including A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC. The suspected transfer was reported by Pep.ph, a website that is partially owned by GMA. With a 12.6% audience share in 2022, GTV, the sister station of GMA-7, will be the top free TV channel in the Philippines.

With agreements with networks like TV5, A2Z, and GMA Network Incorporated, the Kapamilya network has established itself as a significant source of programming in the Philippines.

Since the network lost its broadcast franchise three years ago, these agreements have assisted in reducing its financial losses. Felipe Gozon, the president of GMA, is eager to give It's Showtime a home. Eating Bulaga! Since TVJ and the Dabarkads departed Television and Production Exponents Incorporated (TAPE) in May, commercial advertisements have decreased on GMA shows.
