Gordon Ramsay had severe bruises after a nearly fatal bike accident.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay thanked his fans for his life by sharing his serious bruises from a near-death bicycle accident and urging them to wear helmets.
“I had a really bad accident. It really shook me. Honestly, I’m lucky to be here,” he said in the video he posted with his hands shaking, one of the aftermaths he suffered from the accident.
“I’m lucky to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m sort of getting through it,” he continued as he lifted up his white chef’s coat to show a massive black-purple bruise on his torso.
The well-known restaurateur emphasized that using a helmet is essential "no matter how long or short the trip is," as it is one of the ways that motorists can prevent fatalities.
Master Chef Gordon said he was thankful for the helmets he wears on short trips even though they are expensive. He expressed gratitude to the fans and trauma surgeons for their kind words. They wanted him to relax, not film for TV series, and to celebrate Father's Day with his family.
