Due to a large number of applicants, YG Entertainment closes the Manila application early
A lot of us want to be the next Black pink group but unfortunately because popular demand YG entertainment closes the Manila Application early.
The closing of the pre-application period for the upcoming Manila audition was announced by Blackpink's record label, YG Entertainment, in South Korea last Friday, March 10. This was due to the overwhelming number of want tobe K-pop stars.
Prior to the forthcoming auditions in the Philippines, YG Entertainment made the announcement on its official Facebook page and website.
“Thank you for your interest in the YG Manila audition. This is the inaugural audition for YG in Manila, and we would like to meet all interested applicants. Unfortunately, due to an exceedingly high number of applicants, we must close the pre-application submission period earlier than expected,” the label said.
The label initially stated earlier this month that its pre-application period would run from March 7 to April 9, but the deadline was moved to March 10.
Despite this, YG declared that the audition period, which will take place at a dance studio in Quezon City, will run from April 15 to 16. A personal audition time will be assigned to each registered participant via email, it stated.
In an effort to ensure "safety" for aspiring K-pop trainees, the agency announced that it would no longer accept walk-in candidates on the day of auditions.
“We will no longer be accepting walk-ins for the audition. We kindly ask for your understanding as this decision was made for your safety and to ensure a smooth audition process,” it said.
