Yardstick Coffee is available at this Max's branch in Taguig.

The Max's Restaurant and Yardstick Coffee partnership was supposed to be a pop-up from April 12 to May 3. Because of its success and promise, they decided to purchase the equipment and beans from Yardstick and make it a permanent fixture at this branch of Max's Restaurant.

"Yardstick has never done this [partnership]. We made this program from scratch and it worked out so well. Now, this Max's x Yardstick is perpetually [available] and it is no longer a pop-up," Paolo says.

Yardstick and Max's Restaurant collaborated on a coffee blend that will be known indefinitely as "Max's Blend A" for the time being. Max's Restaurant Forbestown has exclusive access to this coffee mix, which Yardstick sources and roasts.

The "Max's Blend A" is created with 100% Arabica beans, half of which come from Atok, Benguet, and the other half from Mogiana, Brazil. Paolo said that they had to do several taste tests before eventually obtaining what they desired, which resulted in a combination that brews coffee with toasted almond and dark chocolate undertones.

They are not currently selling the beans, but they are considering selling them in smaller quantities in the future. This will be handy for individuals who want the same coffee quality but produced in the comfort of their own home.
