Blackpink's Lisa Eyes Action Movie Career After "White Lotus" Debut

An ensemble of outstanding actors masterfully bring each fresh cast of characters to life in each season of the popular HBO drama The White Lotus. If there is one area in which showrunner Mike White excels, it is the casting of the program.

Fans were thrilled to learn that characters like Walton Goggins from Fallout, Jason Isaacs from Harry Potter, and Aimee Lou Wood from Sex Education would be joining the program. All eyes were then on the casting announcements for The White Lotus season 3.

The group is stunning as always, but one name in particular—Lalisa Manobal—is attracting attention. To those who don't know, Manobal is more often known as "Lisa" and is a famous K-pop celebrity, primarily because she is a member of the popular girl group Blackpink. The Thai singer plays Mook, a health advisor for the visitors to the Thailand resort, in season three of The White Lotus, marking her acting debut.

Fans have been eager to learn more about Lisa's performance ever since the announcement, which co-star Michelle Monaghan, who portrays a guest named Jaclyn, says is something truly unique.

According to Monaghan in an interview with GamesRadar+: "She's incredible. She's such a talented performer. You know, she can sing, she can dance, but she's wonderful in the show. Her fans are gonna like, lose their minds, they're gonna be so excited. But on top of that, she's just one of the sweetest persons you've ever met. I mean, she's really lovely."

The actress goes on to say that it's excellent representation for Lisa's native Thailand as well: "And how exciting for Thailand. It's so exciting for Thailand to have her represent their beautiful country. I know this is really special for them."
