The Elephant House, a famed Scottish writers' café recognized as the "birthplace" of Harry Potter, is scheduled to build its first international branch outside of Edinburgh, giving Harry Potter fans in the Philippines reason to cheer.
The Elephant House will debut in the new Greenhills Mall in December, providing Filipino lovers with a one-of-a-kind reading experience.
"We are overjoyed that The Elephant House will be relocating to Greenhills Mall in the Philippines. Greenhills Mall has always embraced our customers' diverse interests and hobbies, and Harry Potter fans will soon be able to experience the enchantment for themselves," Arch. Ortigas Malls vice president Renee Bacani stated in a statement posted Friday.
Elephant House International has formed a partnership with Visum Ventures to offer unique coffee, teas, and menus featuring tried and tested recipes alongside Scottish produce.
The Elephant House in Scotland has developed into a popular tourist destination, capturing enthusiasts who relish in the world of Harry Potter since its establishment in 1995.
“Filipino consumers are always looking for new and exciting food and beverage options, and The Elephant House offer of innovative products and experiences has the potential to do extremely well in this market. Our range of exclusive and niche products are not available in other retail stores which gives us a unique selling proposition that will surely stand out in a crowded retail market,” The Elephant House International CEO and co-founder, Andrew McRae said.
