Engkanto Brewery's High Hive Honey Ale Wins Gold at the World Beer Awards; Paint Me Purple Ube Lager Takes Silver

Are you up for trying a new beer, especially one that's brewed locally? If the answer is yes, this might be your next go-to brew. It’s not just any beer—it’s our very own Filipino brand, Engkanto Brewery, which has been recognized in the World Beer Awards' 2024 list of the greatest beers across multiple categories!

The Golden Hive Honey Ale from craft beer company Engkanto Brewery, made with pure honey from nearby apiaries and farms, is listed as a Gold Winner under the World Beer Awards' Flavoured Beverage Awards as the World's Best Flavoured Honey & Maple Beverage. Additionally awarded a silver in the same category is the company's Paint Me Purple Ube Lager, which is made with ube and desiccated coconuts.
To this end, Engkanto's Ian Paradies says: “It’s unprecedented, it’s historic, and we’re all ecstatic! ”
A Filipino craft beer company called Engkanto took home prizes from the Asia Beer Championship 2023, which is a component of the World Drinks Awards, a global recognition initiative.
