In Quezon City, Pods Café doubles as a cafe and laundry.

Customers can enjoy a wide selection of dishes influenced by Asian cuisine at Pods on Scout Rallos as they wait for their laundry to be done.

They do things simply. Just serving dinuguan with buttery roti prata rather than the customary puto should suffice. I think the sharp, vinegary taste of the blood stew balances the richness of the Indian flatbread that goes with it. With a delightful chew, the roti prata has a crisp exterior.

It is an odd and foreign combination, but it works rather well as well. That kind of crispness and acid combination is just not what you would often associate with dinuguan or roti prata, respectively.

Various Vietnamese summer rolls with extra protein to the vegetarian dish are available on the menu. A noteworthy dish is the Gochujang Chicken Adobo (P290), which has a distinct dark-bean flavor and a lingering heat that goes well with the meal's earthy and vibrant flavors.

It also contains Korean red chili paste. This dish goes well with white rice because it's tasty but still simple. The meat gives the dish's vegetal aromas some weight, and the menu is reminiscent of a late-night raid on the fridge.

For those who aren't seeking a full dinner while they wait for their underwear to dry, Pods serves coffee, milk tea, and a modest selection of pastries in addition to its unique take on fusion cuisine. There are open charging outlets and free WiFi. Similar to the food it offers, this quaint small area combines odd and sometimes counterintuitive elements. However, as it happens, they all work well together to create a singular whole that is far more effective than one may have imagined.
