A former Kasambahay proves that we can do anything and never estimate your capability.

Janet Escuro worked as a nanny for renowned pastry chef and culinary school owner Heny Sison for around thirty years. Yaya Janet started off small but has since risen to become the supervising baker at Heny Sison Desserterie, one of the city's most reputable dessert establishments. She oversees quality control, bakes, and directly reports to Sison on the daily activities of the bakery.

Yaya Janet, supervisor baker of Heny Sison Desserterie, began her career in 1994 when her first nanny, Yaya Indang, recommended her to work for the pastry chef's family. She had no background in cooking and learned it under the guidance of Sison's mother and the chef herself. Janet initially learned by watching Sison in the kitchen and then asking for recipes from the Sison family.

As the Sison daughters got older, she was promoted to kitchen assistant, supporting guest chefs in the cooking school. However, her father's prostate cancer diagnosis forced her to look for job opportunities abroad. She held cooking and baking jobs in Dubai for two years before returning to the Philippines in 2013.

Yaya Janet, supervising baker of Heny Sison Desserterie, began her career in 1994 after her first nanny, Yaya Indang, encouraged her to work for the pastry chef's family. She didn't know how to cook before, but Sison's mother and the chef herself taught her. Janet first picked up cooking skills by observing Sison in action and subsequently requesting family recipes.

She was promoted to kitchen assistant as the Sison kids grew older, helping visiting chefs at the cooking school. Nevertheless, she was compelled to search for employment overseas after learning that her father had prostate cancer. For two years, she worked as a cook and baker in Dubai before coming back to the Philippines in 2013.

When Sison's business expanded in 2013 with the establishment of Victorino's, the pastry chef founded Heny Sison Desserterie. Janet, along with four other of his most devoted and capable employees, was instrumental in the successful launch of the new business.

At first, Janet pushed herself by taking on a significant role in the bakery's food production, surpassing her experience as a kitchen assistant. She ultimately discovered enthusiasm in the manufacturing industry, though, and has developed into a skilled kitchen player.

Sison is relieved that her former kasambahay has returned, as she was upset when Janet departed to work overseas. As a result of the ties they've cultivated over the years, Janet has grown to be an essential member of her team. She is a blessing to their family and a talented baker who never stops shining.
