Kapitolyo's Cab Café will no longer be open.
One of the very few places that served the square, flaky pastries that Bacolod is famous for at the time was Cab Café, which at the time had locations in Kapitolyo, Cubao, and Mandaluyong.
Sadly, after 12 years in existence, Cab Café's final remaining location in Kapitolyo, Pasig, is no longer open for business.
On the evening of July 17, Cab Café published a regrettable announcement on their official Facebook page. We are no longer operating, but we just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped us over the past 12 years in Kapitolyo, Cubao, and Mandaluyong, according to the post.
We will most surely miss the napoleones and other pastries that Cab Café used to have now that it is closed. While there are plenty of yema cakes and cheesecakes in the Metro, we will undoubtedly need some time to recover from the disappointment brought on by the inability to eat the cafe's Full Moon Yema Cake and the fruity cheesecakes just one more time.
