This Church Holds a Secret Mini-Mart with Local Fresh Fruits and Vegetables from Baguio.
Have you tried grocery shopping at the church? I bet this is the only first article you heard about that. Let me lead you there. Town's nearest church, St. Jerome Emiliani & St. The Susana Parish Church conceals a small market where local Baguio fresh produce is sold.
Saint Jerome Emiliani and St. There is a place where Susana Parish Church sells crosses, prayer books, and other religious items. It would be best to look for the main office that overlooks the parking lot since the store itself is not particularly noticeable. You can enter through a sliding door with black railings that is visible on the left side of the building.
The organization, which may be a play on words on "The Lord's Prayer," is a part of the Organic Farming Program that was introduced by the Diocese of Baguio back in 2016. The fresh produce section inside the store may seem a little out of place, but it's easier to connect the dots once you read the label on the fresh fruits and vegetables: "Our Farmer's Haven."
The church's chiller can be stocked with Baguio's famous plump strawberries and other fresh goods like carrots, cabbages, cucumbers, ginger, potatoes, and sayote, depending on the seasonality of the fresh produce in the mountain province. A 500 gram pack of strawberries cost P350 when we visited them (prices may change without notice).
The store owner claims that they deliver the Our Farmer's Haven goods every Wednesday. Wednesday afternoons would be the ideal time to stop by because there are some days when the selection is limited.
Our Farmer's Haven is located at Saint Anthony Building, Caritas Manila, and St. Jerome Emiliani and Sta. Susana Parish in Metro Manila
