Sweeten Your Valentine's Day with Conti's New Pistachio Delight inspired by Dubai’s chocolate

Conti’s just released a cake inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate, and if your loved one has a sweet tooth, this is definitely the perfect gift to give.

Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant has introduced a new Dubai-inspired cake, the Pistachio Crunch, inspired by the viral chocolate bar from Dubai chocolatier FIX Dessert Chocolatier's "Can't Get Knafeh Of It." The cake features layers of chocolate sponge cake, chocolate, chocolate mousse, pistachio mousse, and a crunchy layer of kataifi, all served with pistachio sauce. Dried petals add a decorative touch. The Pistachio Crunch cake is served with a bottle of pistachio sauce and a separate container for the dried flowers. The cake is wrapped in a hard plastic ring, and the pistachio sauce and dried flower petals are served separately. The Pistachio Crunch cake has a playful texture, but the pistachio mousse has a subtle nuttiness and the pistachio sauce has a strong yema-like sweetness. The cake is one of the best takes on the pistachio-kataifi trend, and it is better in taste than the chocolate bar it was inspired by.

The price difference between a dish of Pistachio Crunch, which costs P1,350, and a bar of Can't Get Knafeh Of It, which costs 68 AED (about P1,076.86), is only P274 for a better-tasting dessert in larger servings.

I'm willing to forgive the cake's lack of pistachio flavor in favor of the dessert's excellent flavor, but I would still purchase another slice of the Pistachio Crunch. Let's hope Conti's decides to keep it on the menu for a while longer.
