Are you up for a new Ice cream flavor? This may be the next ice cream you will be addicted to because it has the flavor you will never imagine that could work in an ice cream. Fog City Creamery just launched new flavors to their lineup—let's just say they're not your average scoops—and they are now available at their Power Plant Mall booth.
With its new ice cream flavors, which are perfect for keeping cool in the summer heat! For starters, there's the Cheese Pimiento (P450/pint), a distinctively salty-sweet scoop that faithfully communicates the tastes of its namesake, sharpness of the cheese and natural sweetness of the red peppers and all. Similarly sweet and salty is the Queso Mais (P450/pint), where the flavors of cheese and maize combine for a treat that may remind you of classic cheese-topped maja blanca.
The Mega Malunggay (P450/pint) is another Filipino-inspired offering. This taste emphasizes the earthiness of malunggay—think matcha with a more vegetal undertone. The Avocado (P450/pint) is a less-is-more number that highlights the natural flavor of the fruit in all of its rich, buttery beauty. Don't miss the Suman Latik (P450/pint), which includes bits of chewy suman and gobs of latik swirled in for extra depth.
Do you want a more refined scoop to pamper your grownup self? The Olive Oil (P420/pint), created with Oli Medi extra-virgin olive oil from Aceites de las Heras, may be your girl. (We recommend letting your pint or scoop thaw slightly before diving in—the fruitiness of the olive oil seems to come out best at a slightly warmer temperature.) Those looking for a subtle crunch should try the Honey Butter Nut (P450/pint), which has a generous amount of chopped walnuts strewn in for texture. The Black Pink (P450/pint) is the last but not least of the flavors, with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies in a pink strawberry foundation.
