'Paik's Coffee,' a renowned coffee shop from South Korea, has opened in the Philippines.

Filipinos indeed love Korean culture, from the food, the way they talk and handsome men. There is no doubt Korean stores are opening here in the Philippines.  The Glorietta shopping center in Makati City is now home to the first Philippine location of South Korean coffee chain Paik's.

One of the famous value-oriented coffee chain joins Starbucks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Bo's Coffee. It has more than 1,000 locations throughout South Korea.

Famed chef Jong Won Paik established Paik's Coffee in 2006. The coffee chain, which opened its first location in Seoul's Nonhyeon-Dong neighborhood, operated under the name Wonjobucks Coffee until 2015.

The business, which in 2016 also opened a location in Singapore, is well-liked by college students in its home country due to its reputation for affordability and extensive selection of iced beverages. I am sure Filipinos will love the store as well. We love trying new things and we love Korean culture.

In the Philippines, the coffee chain charges Ph 100 for an espresso and Ph 150 for an americano. All coffee-based drinks can be ordered hot or cold.

Espresso and americano cost Ph 125 and Ph 165, respectively, at market leader Starbucks, which has over 420 locations nationwide.

According to World Coffee Portal research, there will be more than 2,060 outlets selling branded coffee in the Philippines by 2025.
