One of Asia's Top 50 Restaurants for 2023: Metiz + Toyo Eatery

Are you up to finding one of the best restaurants in Asia? Well, you don’t need to book an airplane to try one because we have it here in the Philippines. Toyo Eatery and Metiz just land a spot in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List for 2023.

On Tuesday, March 28, the World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy announced the winners for the Asian region.

The Metiz restaurant in Makati City, run and founded by Chef Stephan Duhesme, is ranked 48th. The Chino Roces Avenue fine dining Filipino restaurant is praised for highlighting vegetables, fermentation, and regional ingredients in the gulay-centric tasting menu. Metiz is making his debut on the list.

Toyo Eatery, the brainchild of Chef Jordy Navarra and his wife May Navarra, is a neighboring restaurant on Chino Roces Avenue and is in 42nd place. For the past five years, Toyo Eatery has made the list. Last year, it came in 94th.
