Metro Manila Locations of Lechon Spot Zubuchon Are Closing
This August, the renowned lechon restaurant Zubuchon in Metro Manila will permanently close its doors. On Tuesday, August 8, the eatery announced the news via a Facebook post.
“It's time to move on,” it said. “Zubuchon will be closing down its huge commissary and all restaurant branches in Manila this August.”
On August 13, their Southmall location will close, and on August 25, their Makati location at The Rise location will close.
For clients coming from the north, the Megamall branch will close on August 28 and the Eton Centris branch will go down on August 18.
But don't worry, customers can still have their famous lechon when they travel to Cebu, where they will concentrate on growing their business.
Due to a number of factors, including pandemic limitations, the swine flu, and rising commodity prices, Zubuchon has chosen to permanently cease operations in Manila. Over the past 14 years, the company has achieved many of its original objectives, but not without facing difficulties like the ASF/Swine Flu pandemic, disruptive ASF/Swine Flu pandemic, and exorbitant commodity costs.
Joel Binamira, the founder of the business, originally established a location in Manila in 2017 after giving Anthony Bourdain a Cebu lechon on his travel program, No Reservations.
