Bo, a bloodhound who is 10 months old and recently joined the police force, caught two pizza thieves.
After locating the suspected DoorDash driver, a new police officer in Gastonia, North Carolina, has closed his third case in a row. Bo is a 10-month-old Bloodhound who joined the force in October of last year, making him the eighth K9 member of the agency.
A press release issued by the Gastonia Police Department states that shortly after 11 a.m. A DoorDash driver reported being robbed on December 28. After being transported to the scene of the incident, Bo smelled the suspect well and tracked it "through heavy foot traffic and other distractions" all the way to the alleged robber's door.
Pizza Hut Big Box Meal, which included pizza, wings, and breadsticks and was priced at $30, is reported as the stolen property in the police report. Bo discovered the alleged perpetrator before he could break open the pizza box, as shown by the report's listing of the stolen items as "recovered." Two individuals, one of whom is anonymous and lives in Gastonia, age eighteen, were also taken into custody and charged with common law robbery.
