PAWS requests assistance for the Pampanga Pogo hub's rescued pets' medical needs.
The medical needs of the cats and dogs who were rescued from the raided Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) facility in Porac, Pampanga, are being handled by the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (Paws).
Before placing rescued aspins or native Philippine canines available for adoption, Paws, a rescue organization, must provide them with medical attention. Prioritizing adopters with a solid track record of aspin adoption will help the group steer clear of breed-based adoptions.
“Due to the sudden high volume of interest in adopting these rescues, despite PAWS already having 200+ rescued animals at the shelter who are fully recovered and have been waiting for homes, PAWS will be extra wary of those applying for adoption solely based on the animals’ breed,” it said.
In order to deter prospective adopters from selling or breeding the animals, Paws claimed that after the animals have their initial medical care, they would also be spayed or neutered.
Donors can use their bank accounts and e-wallets, according to Paws.
