Turkish earthquake missing mother from the Philippines and her three children have been found dead.

The three children of a Filipino woman who has been missing since the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6 have been found dead, according to the Philippine Embassy in Turkey.

"It is with deepest regret that the Embassy must confirm the passing of a Filipina housewife and her three children, previously reported to be missing under the rubble in Antakya. She and her children have been laid to rest by her Turkish husband, in accordance with Turkish tradition," the embassy said in a statement.

"The Embassy and the entire Department of Foreign Affairs express their deepest condolences for this tragedy."

Additionally, the embassy reported that it is currently housing more than 20 families, totaling 70 people, including senior citizens, children, spouses from Turkey, and overseas Filipino citizens.

Additionally, it stated that it was "accelerating its actions" to repatriate Filipinos who desired to stay in Turkey and helped the majority of the additional 70 Filipinos who made this decision.
