The PNP claims that Quiboloy is not under danger.
Aside from his statement, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has denied any knowledge of the purported threat of death made against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the leader of the KOJC. The PNP can offer security upon request if Quiboloy has a basis.
“As always, not limited to him, everyone, whether it is a government official or an ordinary citizen, who receives a threat to his life, the PNP is always ready to provide appropriate security if there is a request for one,” the PNP official said.
In relation to the cases he is facing in the US, Quiboloy had already claimed that the US government was planning to "eliminate" him through rendition, reportedly with assistance from Philippine government officials.
In a letter to GMA News, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) disputed that it had established a $2 million reward for the capture of Quiboloy and his two colleagues, Teresita Dandan and Helen Panilag, who are currently wanted in the US on a number of charges.
The US Embassy in the Philippines has sent questions to the US Department of Justice and is certain that Apollo Quiboloy, who is well-known for violating human rights, will be held accountable for his crimes, which include the systematic rape of girls.
