Clothes are one of the biggest waste in the world. It can help to lessen waste, help the environment, and produce less.  As we are stuck at home because of the pandemic, everyone discovers a lot of skills one of these is sewing. Instead of wasting money buying new clothes that you will not wear since you are at home most of the time. Upcycle old clothes and turn it into fashionable pieces instead of buying at a store or online that we are not sure if it does not sanitize well, revamping it you can help a lot to the environment and can save a lot. It is not bad to upcycle pieces since brands do it as well.

In September 2019, Marine Serre’s “Marée Noire” (Oil Slick) collection has a lot of upcycled pieces. To have an astonishing piece, the French designer used leftover pieces of fabric and revamp it into a beautiful piece.

Banana Moon upcycles its fabric offcuts into a swimwear collection for its Summer 2020 collection, while Gant recently presented a capsule collection of shirts transform used fabric pieces from previous collections.
