Reopening the application website for the 2024 Bar Exam

After a disruption, the Bar Application Registration System and Tech Assistance (Barista), which is utilized by candidates for the 2024 Bar Exam, has become operational again, raising concerns among recent law graduates.

“The Barista app underwent an update yesterday (Wednesday), which caused a momentary error while syncing,” SC Spokesperson Camille Sue Mae Ting said.

The Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) also declared on Thursday that Barista is once more available for users whose applications have already been completed to upload digital copies of the postponed papers.

“The applicants are advised to check the status of their application through the Barista,” the OBC said in a statement. It added that applicants also needed to submit physical copies of the deferred documents to the OBC on or before October 15.

“Failure to upload and submit all necessary deferred documents within the period will result in disqualification,” it added.
