Negros Occidental police discovered a murdered college professor with 16 stab wounds.
In an attempted robbery on Wednesday in Barangay San Pedro in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, a teacher was fatally stabbed in front of a boarding house along Dumas street.
Tony Lazaga, 51, a student at the Binalbagan Catholic College stabbed the professor 16 times. The body of Lazaga was found by a tricycle driver. The site yielded the victim's two bags, which contained a laptop and his personal items, as well as a broken umbrella and two kitchen knives. One of the suspects was caught, according to Maj.
Randy Babor, chief of police for Binalbagan, while two others have been identified but are still at large. Initial investigations revealed that Lazaga was stabbed by the perpetrators after he struggled and yelled for assistance.
