After criticism for her comments regarding marital rape, Robin Padilla issued an apology.

After a heated internet debate, Senator Robin Padilla issued an apology for his divisive remarks regarding a husband's sexual rights and declared that he does not support marital rape.

Padilla expressed regret for the way the Senate hearing went despite this.

Lorna Kapunan sa Senado,” said the lawmaker.

In the film, Senator Kapunan emphasizes the value of consent in marriage, while Padilla seeks to raise awareness of marital rape.

“Kasama na din po dito ang sinasabing ‘gray area’ sa Family at Civil Code kahit pa man mayroon tayong Separation of Church and State,” he said.
