A woman quits her profession to become a 'full-time daughter,' earning P32,000 per month.

Have you ever fantasized about staying at home and getting compensated by your parents as a daughter? This post will allow you to change your career or SanaOL.

According to the South China Morning Post, the lady called Nianan had "heightened levels of stress and the constant pressure of being on-call 24 hours a day" after working for a journalistic organization for 15 years.

Following her burnout experience, her parents didn't hesitate to take care of her financially, providing her with a monthly allowance of 4,000 yuan (P32,000) from their monthly retirement income of over 10,000 yuan (P79,000) as a "full-time daughter"—an offer that was too good to pass up.

Nianan describes her present employment as a "profession filled with love." Her daily workload varies, but it typically consists of grocery shopping, cooking supper, driving, scheduling outings, and dancing for an hour with her parents.

Nianan said that the "job" did not feel like a job at all, and that her "desire to earn more money" was the driving force in her choice to accept the offer.

The "full-time daughter," on the other hand, stated that her parents never forget to encourage her that she may leave for a "more suitable job" when she gets one.

“But if you don’t want to work, just stay at home and spend time with us,” they also told her.

SCMP defined the “full-time daughter” concept as “an alternative for younger people in China who face an increasingly competitive job market and the grind of ‘996’—working from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. six days a week.” There are also other alternatives to the job, including “becoming a digital nomad and embracing the lifestyle of being financially independent, voluntarily employed.”
