At a private Christian elementary school on Monday, a 28-year-old Nashville resident shot and killed three children and three adults. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, William Kinney, all 9 years old, Cynthia Peak, 61 years old, custodian Mike Hill, 61 years old, and Katherine Koonce, 60 years old were the six victims, according to the police. Chief Drake verified that the assault was intentional.

The shooting rocked Green Hills, a posh neighborhood a few miles south of Nashville, where the Covenant School and a stone church are perched atop a hill.
