Xiaomi, a massive Chinese technology company, begins selling electric cars.

One of the massive china tech companies Xiaomi is now into selling cars. Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi declared on Tuesday that its eagerly anticipated electric vehicle will go on sale on March 28.

In a social media post, the company promised that its SU7 electric car "would be delivered as soon as it is launched," according to a translation of the Chinese post provided by CNBC.

According to the post, 59 outlets in 29 Chinese cities would have a queue opened by the corporation. Xiaomi did not disclose a pricing or a precise delivery date when it unveiled the car's exterior and technological characteristics in late December.

Weibing Lu, the president of Xiaomi, told CNBC last month that the business was aiming the car at the luxury market and that deliveries would start as early as the second quarter.

Although the car was initially shown to a global audience at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, Lu stated that it will probably be another two or three years before Xiaomi begins selling the car abroad.
