Spotify releases a new music streaming option called "Basic."
Since Spotify has become a part of our lives, even though its price has gone up, it has developed a less expensive version so you can still use its platform.
In the US, Spotify has revealed a new streaming option called "Basic," which will cost $10.99 a month. With the exception of the monthly audiobook listening time, this plan includes all the benefits of the Premium plan.
A few weeks prior to the introduction of the new streaming plan, Spotify raised the cost of its Premium plan from $10.99 to $11.99. At the time, Bloomberg claimed that the higher charges would assist the streaming service in paying for audiobooks.
Users can still subscribe to Spotify for $10.99 a month with the Basic plan, but their access is limited to music and podcasts. Those who don't use the 15 hours of monthly audiobook listening that come with the Premium plan might find this plan appealing.
There are also reports that Spotify is planning to add more subscription tiers. One of these tiers, called "Supremium," is anticipated to have high-quality audio and cost at least $5 more than the present Premium plan.
