Meta has announced major updates to Facebook Messenger, including HD photos, shared albums, QR code additions, and 100MB file sharing

Sending images from an Android device to an Apple one, or vice versa, can be challenging. While we can use G-Drive, Viber, or Telegram, these apps require a robust internet connection to function.  The resolution is reduced when sent over Messenger, so I believe Meta has finally had enough and is allowing us to share high definition photos—and more, too, my love.

You may now share HD-quality pictures and movies with others using Facebook Messenger. In this context, HD stands for both HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels) for films and 4K resolution for photos. You can choose the HD tag for the persons you wish to share the media file to, just like with WhatsApp's file-sharing features, as previously indicated. Likewise, the HD emblem will show up on Messenger when you receive an HD picture or video.

In order to enable you to send larger files without depending on other resources, Messenger has also raised its file-sharing size limit to 100MB. Word, PDF, Excel, and zip files are among the most widely used file formats that are now available with the latest version. You can select a file up to 100 MB in size and transmit it by tapping the plus icon in a chat.

Not only that, but The Messenger now enables you to make shared albums with all of your Facebook friends. With this latest update, you can now select numerous photos in the conversation to create a shared album in any group chat window when you select multiple photographs and videos. Users must select the Add to Album toggle in order to add photos and videos to any album that is already created or exists. Anybody in the chat window can rename or edit any media files in shared albums using Messenger.

Finally, Messenger's introduction of QR code integration has made the process of adding new contacts much simpler. To initiate a new chat thread, you can now scan a QR code or share someone else's to save having to manually add someone's name or user ID. Using this function on Facebook to connect with friends and family is easy.

The most recent version of the Messenger app includes all of these capabilities, so what are you waiting for? Use it right away and give it a try.
