Users can now update many apps at once on the Google Play Store.
Google Play Store Now Supports Simultaneous Download and Update of Multiple Apps, Handling Up to Three at Once. The Play Store used to only process one app at a time if you tried to manually update every app. We've tried it, and it can now perform up to three.
Google has tested simultaneous app updates for the Play Store in the past, dating back to 2019 and most recently in March, according to a report by Android Police. It appears that more customers are now receiving the faster updates, which could save a ton of time for those configuring new phones or recovering from backups. For many years, Apple has also allowed users to install up to three iOS apps via the App Store.
Given that Google has not specified a launch date or indicated which devices would support the feature, server-side restrictions on concurrent downloads and installs are most likely in place. To find out whether it's there, you'll merely need to manually update each and every one of your apps.
