GCash Expands Global Reach with Ria Money Transfer Partnership
Sending money home just got easier! GCash, the leading e-wallet in the Philippines, has teamed up with Ria Money Transfer to bring convenient and reliable international remittance services to Filipinos worldwide. Now, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the US, Australia, Singapore, and Europe can easily send funds directly to GCash wallets, making it faster and more accessible to support loved ones back home. This partnership is a game-changer for OFWs, offering a secure and hassle-free way to connect with their families and contribute to their well-being.
“We’re continuing to strengthen partnerships around key corridors so we can help Filipinos wherever they may be. We are also strengthening our presence in Ria money,” GCash International General Manager Paul Albano said in a media release on Tuesday.
Serving 160 countries, Ria Money Transfer is a global network for cross-border money transfers. It belongs to Euronet Worldwide, Inc. as a subsidiary.
Customers in the US, Australia, Europe, and Singapore who use the Ria Money Transfer platform can now send money straight to GCash digital wallets without the need for a GCash abroad account thanks to this agreement.
“Some benefits of sending money to GCash via Ria include real-time receiving anytime and anywhere, low service fees, and competitive and transparent exchange rates,” it said.
By working to increase the nation's remittances, GCash has been attempting to increase its global footprint.
Through remittances, we strengthen the economy and empower Filipinos both domestically and overseas. This is consistent with our mission to Finance For All, which is to facilitate convenient access to financial services for Filipinos wherever they may be," the business stated.
The US, UK, UAE, Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, and Taiwan are among the 16 markets where GCash services are now offered.
