New digital technology revealed by NTC for quicker telecom and internet licensing

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has created an automated platform, OPS-DPS, to streamline and accelerate the processing and issue of licenses, permits, certificates, and other documentation for telecommunications and internet infrastructure.

The technology was shown in the NTC by Htech Corp, the project's system provider, and representatives from the country's main telecommunications providers.

The technology will be tested in the NTC's Services and Interconnection Division. The DPS component of the project would be introduced in September in preparation for the grand launch of the whole OPS-DPS system in October 2023.

Representatives from Converge, Dito, Globe, and Smart PLDT attended the demo.
